A little bit about Evan...
Evan F. Bracy is an attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York. He was admitted to the
New York State Bar in 1994 and began practicing law in Plattsburgh in May of 1994. Evan joined the
Niles law firm in 1999 as a partner and has practiced law with the firm for over 21 years.
Evan was born in and has spent most of his life in Plattsburgh. After graduating from Mount
Assumption Institute (“MAI”), he graduated from the State University of New York at Potsdam in 1989
with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a minor degree in Philosophy. Upon graduation, Evan
spent a year doing volunteer work with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America), working at a
community action agency in Bishop, California. He then returned to New York to attend the Syracuse
University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor Degree in 1993. While in law school, Evan also
obtained a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Studies from SUNY College of Environmental
Science and Forestry in Syracuse, also graduating in 1993.
Evan concentrates his legal practice in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, wills and
estate planning, probate, general business law, and civil litigation. Evan and his long-time staff work
with several local banks and lending institutions and are heavily involved in the local real estate
community. Evan also currently serves as attorney for the Clinton County Board of Realtors.
Evan lives in Plattsburgh with his wife of 30 years, Jacqueline, where they have raised their 4 children.
Over the years Evan has been extensively involved in coaching various youth sports teams on which his
children have participated, including basketball, baseball and soccer. Proud to be an Adirondack 46er,
Evan enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors with his family. He also enjoys various sporting
activities, including basketball and golf.
