A little bit about John...
John F. Niles is an attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York. He was admitted to the practice of law in 1974 and became a partner with the founding law firm of Lewis, Bell & Niles shortly thereafter. He is currently the senior partner at the law firm of Niles, Bracy & Mucia, PLLC.
Mr. Niles graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He earned a Juris Doctor Degree from Albany Law School in 1973. He is admitted to practice law in Courts of the State of New York as well as Federal Court. He was the Town Attorney for the Town of Altona from 1981 to 1985, served on the Committee on Professional Standards for the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department from 2007 to 2013, has served as an Arbitrator and Mediator on several civil cases and served as a City Court Judge for the City of Plattsburgh from 2012 to 2018. He also served a term as Clinton County Bar Association President from 1988 to 1989.
Mr. Niles' practice concentrates on civil litigation, personal injury, real estate, wills and estates, workers' compensation and Social Security Disability.
He has been an active participant in community matters including having been a member of Kiwanis, a member of the local Human Rights Committee and was active for several years as a coach with the City of Plattsburgh Little League, YMCA basketball and youth soccer.
